Service scope

This site describes BasinThread and the Well Intelligence Platform. The research preview serves a bounded selection of qualified public records. Further research retrieval requires approved scoped software access. It is not a complete national well inventory, a live operating system, a regulatory filing service, or an engineering survey.

Source data

Real authorized research identifies sources, acquisition date, coverage, and counting units. Reports can be incomplete, delayed, corrected, or inconsistent. Review original records before relying on a value. Source surface locations are not measured well trajectories. Federal data access does not imply endorsement by BOEM or any agency.

Responsible access

Use the supported interface within its request limits. Real exports require an approved scope. Do not attempt to access private customer routes, bypass authentication, or disrupt the service. Preview access does not confer rights to private customer records or restricted local research material.

Separate customer agreements

Pricing, configuration, support, data access, and any commitments for a customer deployment are established separately in an agreed scope. Planned features described on this site are not a promise of delivery or a purchased entitlement.

Site materials

BasinThread branding and site materials are separate from underlying federal source records. Third-party components retain their licences. Self-hosted Archivo, Literata, and IBM Plex fonts use the SIL Open Font License; source distributions retain their licence files. OpenStreetMap attribution is displayed with the map.
